Artist's Comments

This was another experiment with long exposures. As i said before, fishermen are great subjects for this kind of work, as they stay quiet for long periods of time. There was lots of people walking around the pier, so i though of doing a long exposure to "clean" the environment. I was lucky with the watcher, who stood still long enough to be captured (as well as his ghosts).

Shot in Peniche, Portugal. This is a 30 seconds exposure, with a Canon 30D and Sigma 17-70.

Uma referência: as formas fantasmagóricas daqueles que passeavam pelo pontão fazem-me recordar um dos meus filmes favoritos, The Fog de John Carpenter. O melhor do filme era precisamente o ambiente de brumas e mistério, aquilo que esta foto tão bem captou.

I really like how the guy in the background turned out. It almost looks like a manip, how perfectly the ghosts are positioned.
